Satelite

The new JOZUAJ album lands on vinyl, Boxing Day 2026. Twelve tracks of widescreen synth-soul, pressed on 180g translucent cyan and shipped worldwide.
Satelite is JOZUAJ's third studio album and the first to be built for vinyl from the ground up. Written across two winters in a converted radio tower, it moves from slow-burning ballads to hard-edged club cuts without ever losing the thread.
Every side was mastered for analogue playback, so the low end breathes the way it does in the room it was recorded in. The pressing is limited to 1,500 numbered copies — once they are gone, they are gone.
Shot on location in Lisbon, Lagos and a decommissioned observatory outside Cape Town.
JOZUAJ is a producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who started out making beats on a borrowed laptop in a church hall. Ten years and three albums later, the sound has widened but the instinct is the same: build a world out of a single loop and let it grow until it fills the room.
His records sit somewhere between synth-soul, alt-R&B and late-night electronic music — warm analogue keys, live drums tracked in one pass, and a voice that stays close to the microphone. He writes, plays and produces almost everything himself, then hands the mixes to a small circle of collaborators he has worked with since the beginning.
Live, the songs get bigger. The Low Orbit tour took the band through eighteen cities, and the Satelite release show is already booked for Boxing Day 2026.
Questions sent in by listeners, answered by JOZUAJ himself.
I spent a winter in a converted radio tower with terrible reception and one working speaker. Everything I wrote there sounded like it was being beamed in from somewhere else. The spelling is deliberate — it's the way the word looked on a hand-painted sign outside the building.
Because that's when everyone is finally still. No meetings, no deadlines, just a slow day at home with the people you like. That's the exact listening condition the record was made for, so it felt wrong to put it out any other week.
Yes, and not in a subtle way. We mastered the digital release loud and clean, then cut a separate analogue master for the pressing with the low end left wide open. Afterglow runs almost a minute longer on side four because the cut needed the space.
A short run of rooms, not arenas — the songs need a ceiling low enough to bounce off. Dates go out to the mailing list first, then everywhere else a week later.

Ask JOZUAJ a QuestionPress and listeners on the Satelite singles so far.
JOZUAJ writes like someone who has been listening to the room, not the charts. Satelite is the most confident thing he has put his name to.
I pre-ordered the cyan pressing the hour it went up. Signal Lost has been on repeat in my car for three weeks and it still hasn't worn out.
Saw the Low Orbit show in a 400-cap room and it felt like a stadium. Whatever he does next, I'm buying a ticket before I read the review.
